The diverse O-METALL accessories range also includes light and ventilation skylights, whose task is to provide industrial halls and agricultural buildings with natural daylight and to enable optimum ventilation. With this product, even insulated buildings can be optimally supplied with daylight without having to accept a loss of energy efficiency.

A SOLUTION FOR HISTORIC BUILDINGS

The plain tile is a flat, straight roof tile that ends in a semi-circular shape at the lower edge and is therefore very reminiscent of the beaver’s tail in appearance. It is assumed that this tile shape originated in Germany in the 14th century, which is also where it is most commonly found. Parts of Nuremberg’s old town, such as the city wall, Nuremberg Castle and other buildings bear historical forms of this type of brick and thus point to its origin. Many roofs in other parts of southern Germany as well as in eastern Germany, especially in Mecklenburg, are also covered with this type of roof tile.

Since the classic plain tile roofing means higher material consumption and thus higher costs, the use of plain tile is unfortunately decreasing more and more. Today, it is mostly only used in renovations and refurbishments of listed or historic buildings in order to preserve the overall impression and character of the building or its surroundings.

A ROUND THING WITH O-METALL CRIMP CURVING

Do you want to add a special architectural accent to your building project or enhance your building with a design element? Then you can rely on O-METALL crimp curving.

O-METALL profiled sheets with a bead height of up to 50 mm are given radii according to your wishes by means of a buckling/deep-drawing process, the so-called crimp curving. This applies to both trapezoidal and corrugated sheets. This production option offers architects, designers and building planners particularly aesthetic possibilities for round roofs, parapets and eaves. In combination with appropriately rounded flashings, unique design possibilities are created for your building.

There is also a solution for sandwich panels: the Sandwich Roof Vario is an crimp curved sandwich panel. Depending on the concept, round covers of all kinds with different bending radii can also be realised with this product. The outside of the sandwich roof Vario can be supplied either in steel or aluminium. Depending on the insulation value requirements, the curved panels can currently be supplied in 4 thicknesses.

From now on, we can also offer you the board profile in the wood decor colours brown and black, thus covering even more areas of application.

The board profile is a profile based on the classic wooden façade. When installed, it looks very much like a horizontal inverted cladding and has a deceptively real wood structure, not only visually but also haptically. It is used both for gable cladding and for complete facades in single-family and multi-family house construction, but also in hall construction. The high-quality appearance of the wood decor and the geometry of the profile allow a wide range of design options, including Scandinavian style. The board profile can be produced for you in any desired dimension between one and eight metres. Spans of up to 1.50 metres can be bridged. The colour coating defies all weathers, is of particularly high quality and will keep your “wooden façade” looking like new for years to come.
