Profiled sheets, sandwich panels, light panels and flashings can be fixed in different ways. The best way of fastening often depends on the chosen product and the type of substructure. Basically, you can get from us fasteners suitable to all O-METALL® products and all common substructures.
In most cases, for the installation of our products sealing screws out of stainless steel with drill bit are used. They are available in many different variants and for all common products and substructures.

For the fixation in the upper belt, we generally recommend the use of storm washers. They are made of aluminium and equipped with a seal covering the complete underside of the storm washer. Storm washers ensure increased installation safety, high shape stability and an optimum traction in case of wind suction. They also serve to evenly distribute the load and increase the sealing surface when corrugated sheets, sandwich panels or light panels are fastened on the upper belt. For most O-METALL® profiles the respective caps are available in many different colours.

APPLICATION WITH LIGHT PANELS TOGETHER WITH SPACERS
For roof mounting of light panels, we recommend fixation in the upper belt with spacers and caps. This way a deformation of the upper corrugation is avoided, while the light panel can expand normally without appearing of leaks at the screw connections.
Load distribution plates are designed for the optimal installation of sandwich panels with hidden fixation. We recommend the use of O-METALL® load distribution plates (LVP) for any installation of sandwich wall panels with concealed fixing. Depending on the requirements, their use may be mandatory. Attention: Use together with screws and sealing washers not larger than 16mm diameter.
ADVANTAGES OF O-METALL® LOAD DISTRIBUTION PANELS (LVP):
In particular cases, rivets are used for fixing e.g. flashings, box gutters and pipe lead-through collars. The use of hook fasteners for sandwich elements and corrugated sheets is rather rare, but can be a useful solution in some individual cases.
